Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. She is best known for her role as Skyler White in The AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. The actress has also appeared as Jean Ward in The Practice, and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. Her passion for acting in the Preparatory school, prior to moving to Ohio together with her family during the early 1970s. She studied theatre at Northwestern University, and spent one semester at British American Drama Academy. Anna worked by the theater in the Chicago area for a few years prior to trying her luck in TV as well as film roles. In 1992 Anna got her first major character as Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. After appearing as a Guest Actor in a variety of TV Shows and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue during the 90's, she was cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. In the mid 2000's she was placed in Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. The show was recast in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in 2008. Sully was the Deadwood film and a few other films also featured her. Gunn played in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production produced by David Schwimmer. She also appeared in the podcast audio drama of four episodes Numbered days, which was released in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. The drama's tension and final ending mirrors the last years that were the life of Walter White.
